It’s the first Friday in November and that means it is time to give away 1,000 Entrecard credits to one of my subscribers! Just in case you missed it, you can read about the contest here. So without further delay, the winner is…

How did I pick the winner? I thought I would answer this question for anyone else running a contest who is confused about how to randomly pick a winner. I use the list randomiser at random.org which randomly sorted the list of DotComDud.com email subscribers (from FeedBurner) and numbered them accordingly. If you are running a contest and need to pick a winner at random, I suggest checking out Random.org.
Blogging Idol Update
I’d also like to include a quick update on my performance so far in Blogging Idol #2. I am currently in equal 32nd position after gaining 11 subscribers within the first week. That’s not bad but I can do a lot better. So far I haven’t done a whole lot to increase subscribers (apart from this give away) but in the following weeks I am going to expand and diversify my strategies, so at the very least I can reach my goals for RSS subscribers I have set for November.
